Communication is a term used to define transmission of information from one place to another , it is a type of process which involves sending and receiving of messages through verbal and non -verbal methods, that includes speech ,text, oral communication, writing and graphical images. In our daily life , we all are communicating with each other or with our surroundings ,whether it is family ,friends, relatives ,work ,office, business ,corporate and many more , everywhere proper communication is required – as communication is the base of actual work done  -without proper communication  -things will not be achieved in a systematic manner- so to accomplish any task successfully clear communication is required.

Communication –it is a two way means of communication  means –it is the process of sharing or exchanging information between two or more than two people in form of thoughts ,opinions ,ideas ,data , experiences to connect with others and to develop better understanding among people.

“Communication or we can say good communication is required at every single place  – to build healthy environment and trust among surroundings (owner , employees ,personal life ,professional life ,friends ,family etc).

Effective Communication skill will lead to grow in different areas such as in personal life or in professional life. Effective communication  are good in sharing their views ,exchanging their ideas and opinions with others  and convince them –their skills include open and honest communication , active listening skill and  a soft tone in daily conversation to avoid conflicts with others. They have a great sense to deal with different kind of information like –communicating a good message with an excitement and sharing sad news with empathy , and most importantly to “Listen “ carefully what others are saying and then reacting to it after understanding – combination of all things makes him/her a good communicator.

Great  Communicator choose their words wisely ,understand their audience and connect with them at the right time and place.

Communication Process – It is a two way process which involve transmission of information from one end to another end i.e from one person (source) to another person (destination).Information can be in any form like ideas, imagination, emotions, opinions and thoughts etc. It is an ongoing process that involves three components which are sender, message and a receiver.

  1. Sender – Sender is the person who wants to transmit the message to other person.
  2. Message – Message itself is a type of information, idea ,knowledge ,opinion ,fact, truth ,fact ,data can be anything or in any format .
  3. Receiver – Receiver is the person who receives the information ,understand it correctly and reply to that message sent by the sender only then the aim of communicating information is achieved.

Types of communication –

  1. Verbal Communication – verbal communication is a way of communicationg information to others orally i.e called verbal or oral communication .This way uses only any of the language to convey information verbally or in a sign language . It is an informal type of communication , because it is used on frequent basis in a daily life and it is also considered as the easiest type of mode to share or exchange information ,it works well as compared to another mode of communication.
  2. Non -verbal Communication – It is a type of communication or transmission of information or messages through a non verbal way like eye contact , facial expression ,gestures, postures, use of objects ,body language etc.

Mode of Communication –

  1. Formal Communication – Formal Communication means official way of communication which takes place through formal/official routes and channels such as – Business ,letters ,reports ,E –mail ,etc. These includes several rules and regulation to transmit information . It is considered as a more reliable mode of communication as compared to any other modes of communication. It is primarily considered as an effective way of communication as there is a systematic flow of information and includes written communication.
  2. Informal Communication –It is the process of communicating or sharing message between two or more than two people unofficially without following any rules and regulations , as this is a very fast process of communicating information , as it includes verbal communication ,so there is no systematic flow of information exists and no documentation work required , so there is no availability of record therefore sharing of information through this way is less reliable. The main objective of informal communication is to meet personal interests and meet.
